Where to start!!!…
We first seen Damien at the Wedding Fair that was being hosted at the County Arms Hotel, which was also our wedding venue. We didn’t plan on having a singer in the church but after seeing and hearing him play, with just his vocals and acoustic guitar, my mom decided she had to get him to play for our ceremony. I rang him that evening and found him to be the sweetest, yet most professional person I had ever had the pleasure in speaking to. Needless to say I was looking forward to hearing him in the church and had no doubt he would be amazing!
From there we went on with the planning and had provisionally booked a friend to play at the reception, but things didn’t work out and I rang Damien to see if he could possibly provide the band for the reception as well and it wasn’t a problem at all. With all the times I had contacted him, it was never a bother, he was only too happy to answer any questions I had.
We finally met officially at my house where Damien brought his guitar and played various songs for the church ceremony and I have to admit my mother and I experienced some what of a crush listening to him play and sing!! He was totally familiar with all aspects of the service as he told us of his own involvement with the church, another comforting thought in his ability to help make the ceremony even more beautiful. Every suggestion he made seemed to be just perfect. To top it off he even volunteered to learn a song he hadn’t heard before for our first dance, I couldn’t believe it!!
Through all of this, I had already been on his site checking out the selection of music he offered, and couldn’t believe the variety, I laughed when I saw Sex is on Fire, which incidently became a song that people are still talking about as we speak. Damien did a brilliant job and had everyone on the floor all night, including myself – literally. He and the band sounded brilliant and they had the crowd excited, and that goes for my Mom who found it in herself to get up and dance as if she didn’t rely on her cane from day to day. The atmosphere was hoppin’ and we had a blast watching them do their thing. We had the added bonus of the DJ who was also a member of his band and he was all too willing to play any songs we requested. I can’t say enough and I know this won’t do justice to how excited and happy my guests and we were about these guys. They are simply fantastic…
Calling Damien Bowe and the Klassics the highlight of the evening would be an understatement. They took an already beautiful day and turned it into one amazing night. If you want to feel confident in the entertainment your providing for your guests and someone you can rely on to help you get it all together than Damien Bowe will do just that. I’m already thinking of a reason to get him again!!
